Emergency notifications for deaf users
Processed CAP XML alerts and delivered notifications by user preferences and region.
From April 2021 to December 2022, I built the management server and delivery backend for an emergency-notification service. My responsibility ran from receiving disaster information to dispatching it to user devices.
Ingestion and delivery
The server detected incoming CAP XML, preprocessed and stored it, checked notification preferences and region, and sent messages through FCM. I also prepared Swagger documentation and a cloud test environment.
Delivery scope
The project was completed and Android, iOS, and wearable applications were registered. My contribution was the backend connected to those applications.
