Choosing services
The root Compose file uses include to assemble 11 layers, from gateway services to experimental tools. Profiles such as HOME and core are selected explicitly, with environment and secret prerequisites checked before use.
Keeping configuration understandable
Requirements, design decisions, tasks, and operating notes sit alongside service definitions. Structural checks and CI gates look for inconsistencies. Declared services are configuration assets; actual running combinations and recovery checks need their own records.
